Usher Speaks Out

usher has issued a letter squashing the lies that have been running rampant over the net.

Here is the letter in its entirety:

"It has already been announced that I plan to marry this year. However, since my wedding day will be special to Tameka and I, this is information that we would like to keep private. It's disturbing that the media and bloggers (under the guise as 'fans') continuously speculate on the personal aspects of my life, therefore making assumptions and wrong insinuations that my fans are subject to believe.

"I am happy, excited, completely clear and independent on my direction, feelings, decisions and I am NOT BEING LED. Some media and bloggers have been totally intrusive, they have misconstrued aspects of my personal life and, because of this, my 'true' fans are not sure about what is fact and what is fiction. There is a difference in stating an opinion versus drawing a conclusion that is incorrect.

"As previously reported, I have NEVER threatened or harassed anyone from any media format – print, radio, television or Internet media. At this point the best thing to say to my fans is just because it sounds enticing and it MAY sound 'true,' that does not make it truth. I understand the fact that I must sacrifice some anonymity for the career I love, however some things are personal like having a child or a marriage. These aspects are not for the public and, to me, are sacred. I would hope my privacy in these areas would be respected."

Thank you for sending a letter a little too late. This is coming from a 'true' fan...

Rumor Alert: Dartanyan Edmonds is Alive

The internet can get a girl caught up (luckily, I am good at "googling"). I received an email with the subject heading 'Actor-Comedian "Dartanyan Edmonds" commits suicide in L.A. Home.'

Here is the email in its entirety:

Actor-Comedian "Dartanyan Edmonds" commits suicide in L.A. Home.

Dartanyan Edmonds former star of MTV's Lyricist Lounge Show" and best know for his role opposite Megan Good in the Universal Pictures comedy Deliver Us From Eva, died as a result of an apparent suicide.

The actor was known to have been suffering from depression. And "Often talked of taking his own life at times to end his pain" said a Police spokesman.

Edmonds "admitted himself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility" on Tuesday, according to a statement released by his publicist, Lashawn Jones-Drew. The statement added, "Because this is a personal matter, it is our hope that the press will appreciate the seriousness of the situation and respect the privacy of his family".

Whom had not all been notified of his death.

Edmonds who would often speak to children at youth centers and highschools about the dangers of drugs and giving motivational speeches was said to have never had any history of any drugs or alcohol use. And was in perfect health. A L.A. County coroner will determine the cause of death later this week.

"It's so weird because I just spoke to the guy earlier," said a close friend. "He always said stuff like he would die before he got old, but he always wanted to make sure his family was always secure." The friend came to visit and found his body lifeless on the floor of his home. He called police, who arrived to find the friend next to him crying at the site, said Los Angeles Police Lt. John Baxter.

"We saw Mr. Edmonds laying on the floor and had him rushed to a Nearby City hospital,".. Officers investigating also found a substance tentatively identified as cocaine. But there is no conformation. The case remains under investigation.

Edmonds also co-starred in other films such as "A Thin Line Between Love & Hate", Ride Woo

His last on screen credit include "Deliver Us From Eva,"

After doing some digging, there were no posts stating that he had died. Nothing on Eurweb, Sandra Rose, or SoHH. Even his Myspace fan page didn't have a thing about his "death." Also, there were some grammatical errors that were made -next time, spell check or get someone to proofread.

K-Fed, Shar Denies Pregnancy Rumors

The internet was abuzz with news of K-Fed and Shar's new bundle of joy.

Cindy Adams of Page Six fame wrote that Ms. Jackson is seven weeks preggy with Federline's kid. To see full story, click here>>

Jackson and Federline adamantly denied this. According to Celebrity Baby Blog, the rumor was started in Star Magazine.

Shar and Kevin have two children: Kori, almost 5, and Kaleb, almost 3.

I don't think she would want to be preggy anytime soon...since she just had lipo and a tummy tuck.

According to AOL.com, A friend of Lopez says a animal rights activist has recently letters to Lopez, threatening "to kill her in public, just like the slaughtered animals whose fur she wears."

Also, she has been receiving these letters for approximately a month straight and decided to hire two off duty police officer to add to her security detail.

As always, her rep denies the claim.

Sound off: Does Lopez wear too much fur?? If you don't think not, see below...

Usher and His "Momanager" Have Split

The rumors about Usher and his "momanager" splitting are true.

According to SOHH.com, the break up is not due to a rift between Mr. Raymond and his mom. He just feels it is time for him to separate his professional life from his personal life.

"She and I are on great terms and support each other in our life's endeavors. We are both very happy but are now working in different areas of the business," he said in a statement to the Associated Press. "This is great for me because it means I now get to have my mother strictly as my mother with no added
pressure."

He also added:

"At this time in my life, I am simply more interested in building the
strength of my family. And in order to do that, I feel it's best to separate my
business life from my personal life."

Usher also quashed rumors that his new girlfriend, Tameka Foster, would be replacing his mom.

"She has no aspirations of becoming my manager or any other artist's manager," he said.

Sound off: Do you think other singers will follow Usher's lead?

Rumor Alert: New York and Sister Patterson are Not Related!!

One of my guilty pleasures is to watch I Love New York. Well, VH1 is gearing up to tape another season of the show (since Tango dropped New York at the reunion show). I am not sure if this is a publicity stunt sent in by the network or is it actually true. I will do more digging and will keep you posted.

According to Mediatakeout.com, an 'insider' emailed the website informing them that New York and Sister Patterson are not related. They are just two actresses that have been on numerous casting calls together.

I have included the post for your reading pleasure:

Here's the shocking post:

I have been watching this nonsense for a couple of weeks and I can no longer
stand the stupidity. Yes, the show is fake.

The scenario is that the show was concocted to appear to be some sort of dating show, but the "contestants" signed up for something entirely different. The girls on the show signed up for more of an "acting contest".

The concept, initially proposed by William Drayton aka
'Flava Flav', was to have a show which would appear to the viewers to be a
'dating contest', but in reality would be an competition to find a suitable
'match' for a money desperate Drayton after Brigitte Nielson declined to appear
in another season of VH1's "Strange Love".

The winner would be the woman who could best 'act like' Drayton's perfect other. Someone with antics bizarre enough to hold the interest of the viewers, and who could also feign love for the virtually unlikable Drayton.

In layman's terms: A group of young (and not so young) Hollywood fringe hopefuls signed contracts to appear on a televised acting contest, vying for the coveted position of phony reality show 'girlfriend' to 'Flava Flav'. The prize included a guaranteed reality show (Strange Love) and monetary compensation.

The long and short of it: "Flavor of Love" is the WWF of dating shows.

To further perpetuate the absolute ridiculousness is their choice of thespians to play "New York" and family. Surprise! No, they're not related. No, Mr. 'New York' is not the owner of a fortune 500 company. (If you were foolish enough to believe this you likely need your head checked...what millionaire, country club thoroughbred has as
uneducated, filthy and tragically cheap a child and as deranged and unkempt a
wife as he has on the show?)

Miss 'New York' is actually Kenya Simmons of Newark New Jersey. Never heard of her? Well, it's not likely that you would have.

Simmons, a former exotic dancer, has shown up to many a reality show castings. (I work for Fox). To add hilarity to the stew, she was rejected thrice by "The Bachelor".

Simmons is not the only television hopeful who has shown her
face at numerous open call castings.

The actress (and I use that term loosely) who plays "Mrs. Michelle", New York's mother, Leslie Bibbs, is not only of no relation to Simmons, but once stood in the same cattle call line with her at an open call for a B.E.T reality show.

Another amazing tidbit: Bibbs and Simmons are only 5 years apart in age.

I've never heard much about the actor playing Mr. New York, but my friend seems to think he works at VH1.
