The singer is being sued by for copyright infringement. According to legal documents filed in New York, Des'ree claims that Beyoncé never obtained proper clearance to cover her song, "I'm Kissing You." Also, Des'ree and her reps claim that Beyoncé and her record company people tried to work out a deal, but it fell through.

Beyoncé’s song, “Still in Love (Kissing You),” is featured on her album, “B-Day – Deluxe Edition.” Des’ree’s version was used in the 1996 film, “Romeo and Juliet.”
Des’ree is seeking $150,000 in damages and halting the distribution of the song, video, and album.
